For The Love of Masks

Who doesn’t love getting home from a bad day and running a nice hot bubble and having a good soak with your favourite face mask on and a drink!! (I know I do) I am such a sucker for face masks, literally, I will buy every mask I know & then forget I have these face masks and buy more!! (I have a major problem I know…)

But anyway, I thought I would try some different masks for a change & when I saw these amazing face masks in Superdrug, I thought why not. I then went online to Superdrug and bought one of every mask they had in the Superdrug range and tried each one & reviewed them for you!!

Fruit Sorbet Antioxidant Peel-off Mask

Ok so this was the first mask I tried and the first peel-off mask I have ever tried so I was a bit nervous!! I have to say it was pretty messy to apply on the face but what face mask isn’t, the smell was so nice and very refreshing, even as the mask was setting I  could still smell it. I would advise you to wash your hands after application as when it starts to dry it gets really sticky!! After about 10-20mins you will feel the mask getting hard and tight on the skin…NOW comes the fun bit….PEELING IT OFF!! The mask didn’t come off in one go, which I was a little disappointed about but it felt good peeling it off anyway. It left my skin feeling so soft and tight and I could still smell the mask the next day as well!!

Tropical Cocktail Peel-off Mask

Next up I tried the Tropical Cocktail mask, now I kind of wanted to have a cocktail when I applied this mask due to the name but I didn’t. Very easy to apply just like the first one but the smell was unbelievably amazing, I felt like it was the middle of summer and I was on a hot beach somewhere!! It did take a little longer to set then stated on the packet but I wasn’t too bothered about that as the smell was so good. After taking the mask off, my face was a little red on the cheeks but soon went down. It did leave my skin feeling very soft and I could still smell the mask the next day.

Dead Sea Purifying Clay Mask

I was looking forward to this mask due to the face I love the dead sea range in any store & I know it helps any type of skin. The smell wasn’t brilliant but I was expecting that as it was dead sea not tropical or strawberry flavour. Yet again, it was very easy to apply on the face & you could probably get two masks out of the packet if you wanted too. It does tingle on the face whilst its setting but it felt really nice and relaxing though and definitely one of my favourite out this range. You can tell when the mask is ready to come off as you can not move your face as the mask has gone very hard!! It leaves your skin feeling very soft and doesn’t make it go red either.

Cucumber Cooling Clay Mask

This mask was one of the weirdest masks I tried, after application, it tingled on my skin but not to the point I had to wipe it off though (thank god), I do believe this had something to do with the cucumber within the mask though. This mask did smell amazing though and set within 10minutes of application. My skin went a little bit red after taking it off but soon went away, as with a few of these masks. This mask is ideal for sensitive skin but do be careful though.

Black Seaweed Peel-off Mask

This was the easiest one to apply out of all these masks, however, it didn’t really smell of anything, unlike the others masks which I was kind of disappointed in. This one didn’t take as long to set as the other but I do believe that has to do with the seaweed and other ingredients within the mask. After you peel it off your skin feel so soft and this one actually helped my skin more than any other the other masks in this range. If you have oily skin or prone to an oily t-zone then definitely try this mask as it will do wonders.

Orange and Black Lava Exfoliating Mask

At first, this mask was a bit tingly but that is expected with an exfoliating mask and due to the ingredients as well but that didn’t stop me from applying it all over my face and letting it set for 5-10mins. To be honest, if you really wanted too you could possibly get two masks out of the one packet but you would have to make sure that the packet was sealed, as it is clay!! I have to say the smell was just to die for and really made me crave chocolate for some strange reason!! After rinsing it off my face was a bit red but went down within 10mins or so and felt so smooth and really uplifting & the next day my makeup was so easy to apply as the mask had got rid of the dead skin cells and exfoliated my face.

I hope that you enjoyed reading this and please tell me below if you have tried any of these masks and tell me what you thought of them as well and what your favourite mask is!!

  1. I loved this post, so helpful! I’m always looking at these masks but never know whether to get any because my skins so sensitive, but I definitely need to try that seaweed one! I use the seaweed range from the body shop & I absolutely adore it so I can’t wait to treat myself to this mask!

  2. I love doing a face mask but I have such texture issues LOL! My favourite mask is the Garnier tissue mask, I love putting this cool tissue on my face and it just stays (moisture bomb)!
